what's happening at 12 months

Just a post to remember what you are doing at age 1...


You say mama and dada, sometimes I think you say "all done" when you are finished eating. Whatever comes out, I know you understand what it means:)

You are in love with dogs, balloons, airplanes and us...we will eat it up while we can because we know someday we will not be your favorite people:(

You love to play in the toilet and sneak in there every chance you get...mom finds this disgusting, dad thinks it's funny.

You love bath time and I can't wait to see how much you love the pool next summer

You know what you want but don't know how to tell us yet, so tantrums sometimes follow

You love your friend Cora (whom was born 9 hours after you) and get a flirty little smile whenever she is around...it's the cutest thing!

You love to watch other kids


You love to be outside

You love to rough house with your daddy

You will sit by yourself and read books, you turn the pages and babble

You are so close to walking, you have great balance just not enough confidence yet


You love to snuggle when you are tired and in the morning when you wake up

You have been getting up at 5am, usually up around 6:30-7, with 2-2 hour naps at 8 and 2. Then down for the night at 7pm.

Best of all, you are still the happiest baby I have ever seen. You are constantly smiling and laughing and we are so in love with you!

1 year

Our baby boy is 1! Where did the time go? It really does go by as fast as people say:( Bradley had a great time at his parties, he enjoyed his cake,family and friends and trick or treating. Thanks to everyone that made it out to help celebrate this milestone in his life! Thanks be to God for a wonderful year full of health, love and happiness. Bradley, you are such a joy and our lives are so blessed by you. We love you so much!

Cranes Apple Orchard

This past Saturday we made the annual trip to Cranes. We enjoy this time with my side of the family, and Bradley loved the apples:) Below are some pictures of Bradley and his cousin Hailey...

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Christopher! We love you and are so blessed with another year God has given you.

As you can see by the picture above, I am convinced we have the happiest baby in the world and I am wouldn't want it any other way...I hope they are all this happy!

Gun Lake

This past week we went camping with some friends for a week at Gun Lake. The weather was great and we had so much fun. Bradley loved being outdoors all day, everyday:) I can't wait until next year when he can run around and really enjoying the camping experience. Crawling and Tantrums

This is how we found Bradley a couple days ago. He now can pull himself up to the seating position with little to no effort. He was so proud of himself the first time he did it, as you can see by the giant toothy grin below:) Also, as of yesterday we have a crawler!! He finally did it! He is getting even faster today and I know within a week he is going to be flying all over the house. Time to baby proof:) (Sorry, no video of this yet. We lost our little camera which takes videos and have not yet replaced it). He is also pulling himself up on everything, so it will most likely only be a matter of time until he is standing/walking.

The picture below is how he finally feel asleep after an hour and half of screaming. I mean full out tantrum. We have gotten into this habit of falling asleep right after bottles, but then waking up the second I lay him in the crib...he likes it when I rock him to sleep. While I like to do this on occasion, I have decided to stop and allow Bradley to put himself to sleep. I know it will be better for everyone involved, and it will allow Chris to put him to bed as well as babysitters. I just pray he doesn't cry this long too many times before catching on because I want to pull my hair out.

and yes, his foot is turning blue, don't worry, I did move him right after I took the picture:)

8 months and the 4th

Chris wanted to take him swimming for the first time. As you can see, it was a bit of a shock for him! He LOVES bath time, so I hope he will grow to love swimming as well.

8 months old...he is growing up way to fast! He makes attempts at crawling, but for now he prefers to get around by rolling everywhere:) He is becoming such a little boy. The baby in him is fading away and it makes me sad, but I am excited for what's to come as well. We love you so much baby boy!

7 months and a new cousin

Here are a few new pictures of our sweet boy, he is now 7 months old. He rolls like crazy, but doesn't have the desire to crawl quite yet. I'm sure it will come with time:) Below is a picture of how we found him one night...this is becoming a common occurrence as he now rolls around in his crib before getting comfortable and drifting off to sleep. I don't know how it's possible, but we fall more and more in love with him everyday. There are a couple 7 month pictures and also a few of our new adorable little niece, Avery Ann Engbers. She is such a doll and we can't wait to get to know her!
